Williamson County flavor: Williamson County has three teams participating in this week’s state tournament in Brentwood and Ravenwood in Class AAA and Page in Class AA.
Between them, the programs have won 19 state championships. Brentwood has a state-record 11, Page has five and Ravenwood three.

Father Ryan coach Ann Mullins
New coach, same result: Father Ryan returned to the Division II-AA state tournament to defend its 2015 title. However, the Lady Irish will do so under the direction of a new coach. Ann Mullins replaced Jinx Cockerham, who retired in the offseason after leading the program to five state titles.
Father Ryan (24-17) returns just two starters — Thompson and hitter Christy MacClary — off last year’s title team.

Siegel senior Leah Poarch
Fourth time the charm? Siegel has become a regular participant at the TSSAA Class AAA state tournament as a 10-time qualifier.
The Lady Stars have finished third in three straight state tournaments.
However, the Murfreesboro school has yet to reach the title game.
