GALLATIN Gallatin’s defense returned two interceptions for touchdowns and Jordan Mason rushed for 273 yards and three touchdowns on 40 carries as the Green Wave held off Station Camp for a 34-27 victory on Friday evening.
Tyler Thompson threw one touchdown pass and rushed for another score for the Bison (3-3, 1-2). Gallatin improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in Region 6-5A.
Pope John Paul II 17, Nashville Christian 14
Jamaal Thompson scored a pair of touchdowns for Pope John Paul II (4-2) as the Knights held off a fourth quarter rally for the victory.
Nashville Christian (4-2) trailed 17-7 with 4:40 left, before Lelan Wilhoite’s 69-yard touchdown run closed the gap to three points.
The Eagles got the ball back near midfield with two minutes remaining, but were unable to move the ball any further.

HENDERSONVILLE Beech scored 27 unanswered points to run away from the Springfield Yellow Jackets for a 34-7 victory on homecoming night.
The Bucs (4-2) accounted for 275 rushing yards and forced four turnovers on defense.
Running back Chris Peach led the team with three touchdowns, while Alex Vanzant and Chaz Williamson each added a touchdown.

Hendersonville (4-2) cruised past East Nashville on homecoming night, while Westmoreland (2-4) and White House (0-6) each suffered two-point losses.
