With homecoming festivites in full swing, the Creek Wood Red Hawks are hoping this is the perfect opportunity to end their four-game losing streak.

They’ll have as good of a chance as any tonight, as they face a winless East Hickman team.
Despite the fact the Eagles are 0-5 on the season, Creek Wood coach Chuck Daniel is encouraging his team not to overlook East Hickman.
“It’s kind of hard to overlook someone when you’ve only won one game yourself. We’ve gone a lot of good times, but we need to close the game out,” said Daniel.
“They’ve been unfortunate like us and have not been able to get over the hump, but they’ve played a lot of good teams.”
East Hickman has given up over 30 points to opposing teams in all five of their contests. Their offense is only averaging nine points a game, but Daniel was quick to point out some of the Eagles’ strengths on the offensive side of the ball.
“They’re very good up front,” said Daniel. “It looks like they’ve got some very good lineman who are aggressive, and a good quarterback. That’s a good combination.”
The distraction of homecoming can sometimes sidetrack a team, Daniel said, but he thinks that if they come out and take care of business, it should give the Red Hawks confidence moving forward.
“I’m sure our seniors will be excited, as it’s their last homecoming. I hope we come out and play like we’re capable of playing,” said Daniel.
