It was unclear for a couple of days if Creek Wood would be able to host Cheatham County Friday night, as a shortage of officials due to the amount of home games in the area left the game in question.

However, the situation has been rectified and now the two teams will indeed play Friday night.
Here’s a couple of things to keep in mind going into the game.
Familiar foe: The Red Hawks have prepared this week similarly to last week, as Cheatham County likes to run the triple option like last week’s opponent, Montgomery Central.
“They’re a lot like Montgomery Central,” said Creek Wood coach Chuck Daniel.
“They run the same offensive system, which is the triple option. It kind of looks like we’re playing the same team as we did last week.”
Friday Night Lights preference: Daniel was relieved to find out and share the news that he was able to work things out and play Friday night, as it gives both teams an extra day to prepare. It also allows the middle school game between Charlotte and William James at Creek Wood to happen on Thursday.
“I think it’s better for us,” said Daniel.
“Trying to play on a Thursday, it just gets us all out of whack. I’m glad it got moved back to Friday. It gives us an extra day to prepare.”
Even Steven: Since 2010, The two teams are 3-3 against each other, with Cheatham County winning the most recent game last year 20-14. Three of those contests were decided by a point or less, and fans from both sides can expect to see another close game between the two.

Dickson County looking forward, not backward.
Dickson County is moving on from last week’s loss against Centennial and looking ahead instead of behind. The Cougars are now turning their attention to Spring Hill Friday night.
Here are a couple of key points for the game.
Loss of momentum: Like Dickson County, the Raiders are coming off a loss last week. However, theirs was a 26-25 loss to Page in which they could have just as easily won. Spring Hill beat Summit 25-20 and McGavock 47-15 to start the season at 2-0 before the Page loss.
Air Murphree: Dickson County quarterback Jacob Murphree is now statistically one of the top passers in the Middle Tennessee area. Through three games, Murphree has thrown for 1,051 yards and seven touchdowns, including six versus Columbia. However, he’s also thrown six interceptions, which will be something the senior will want to cut down on if the Cougars are to have success moving forward.
Round two: Both of these teams met last year for the first time. The Cougars won that game 49-42 in a high-scoring affair. Fans can look forward to another game with points aplenty.
