Former Christ Presbyterian Academy and Belmont standout Craig Bradshaw signed a contract Wednesday to play with Crailsheim Merlins of the German Professional Basketball League.

Bradshaw, a graduated in May, scored 1,698 career points at Belmont, which ranks fourth in the Bruins NCAA Division I era.

“This is a dream come true,” Bradshaw said. “Without the support and sacrifice of my family, coaches and teammates over the years, this day would not be possible, and for that I am truly grateful. This opportunity with Crailsheim Merlins is a blessing, and I look forward to getting to work and making Belmont proud every step of the way.”

The 6-foot-3 guard became a crowd favorite while scoring in double-figures in 87 of his final 97 games at Belmont, including a Division I era single-game school record 42 points against Ohio in the 2014-15 season.

In his sophomore and junior seasons, Bradshaw scored 1,099 points, which was the fourth-most nationally among returning seniors.

He was a three-time All-OVC selection and named one of the top mid-major players in America by USA Today and a national Top 100 player by CBSSports.com.

Bradshaw ranks among Belmont’s career leaders in assists (328), steals (155), and three-point field goals made (249).

Bradshaw is among six former Bruins currently playing basketball professionally, along with Ian Clark (NBA Golden State Warriors), Kerron Johnson (Germany), J.J. Mann (Belgium), Trevor Noack (Denmark), and Alex Renfroe (Germany).
