Chandler, a 2017 U.S. Army All-American and last season’s Division II-AA Mr. Football Back of the Year who holds scholarship offers from more than 15 Division I programs, narrowed his choices down to just eight on Saturday, including Southern California, Tennessee, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, Auburn and Duke.

Chandler, a 5-foot-10, 188-pound four-star prospect, carried the ball a state-leading 346 times for 2,558 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2015, helping lead MBA to an 11-2 record and a second consecutive Division II-AA state championship appearance.
As a sophomore, Chandler, who clocked a 10.91 100-meter dash at last month’s Nashville Track and Field Championships, racked up 1,348 yards and 22 touchdowns on 209 carries for the eventual state champion Big Red.
Chandler, the 2015 All-Midstate Football Player of the Year, is the state’s sixth-ranked prospect according to 247Sports.
