2016 GIRLS BOWLING COACH OF THE YEAR
Keith Freemon, White House
Why chosen: Led the Lady Blue Devils to a runner-up finish in Division I (to Hardin County) before retiring as a head bowling coach, going 33-2 on the season. Won the same award last season. Finished coaching career with four state titles and three runner-up finishes.
Quote: “Having the same team back, we had our eyes set on winning a state championship. We thought it would be a two-team race. We were prepared and ready and had the lineup set to our favor, but we just had a bad day. The girls worked hard all year and put in the extra effort. We did everything we wanted to do except win state.”
