Why chosen: Jedlicki advanced to the Division I finals before losing in a roll-off to two-time defending state champion Ashley Channell of Hardin County. Jedlicki, who posted a 196.97 average during the regular season, also helped lead the District 7 and Region 4 champion Lady Stars to the state quarterfinals before falling to eventual runner-up White House. She also won the USBC Jr. Gold national championship in July,

College plans: Undecided

Quote: “(Finishing second) makes me want to win it next year. I wasn’t really nervous at state because ever since I was on TV (in July at nationals) it’s made me not nervous.”

Family: Parents Duane Jedlicki and Tracy Haynes, brother Will (12) and golden retriever Scooby.

How did you spend you spring break? “I went to the beach with my friend.”

Athletic background: “I started bowling at the age of 4. I’ve bowled two perfect games. I won nationals in Chicago at U15 level. I am on the developmental Junior Team USA 2016 team. I played three years of middle school softball.”

Best high school sports moment: “When I tied my best friend Ashley Channell in the state singles (before losing 49-40 in a roll-off).”

Favorite athlete: “I don’t really have one. I just like watching sports.”
