Greenbrier's Trice finishes 22nd at state cross country meet

Greenbrier sophomore Jada Trice was the top finisher among Robertson County runners at Saturday’s TSSAA state cross country meet.

Trice finished 22nd in the Class A/AA girls state meet, finishing the Steeplechase course at Percy Warner Park in 20:43.10. Trice ran the race as an individual after finishing in the top 10 of her region meet.

White House Heritage placed 12th in the girls race team competition with 295 points thanks to a strong showing by its young harriers. Murfreesboro’s Central Magnet won the girls team title with 61 points.

Junior Samantha Church was 37th overall (21:19.30). Freshman teammate Mackenzie Bennett was 62nd (22:13.60). Junior  Madeline Segars was 75th (22:42.90). Freshman Aliyah Bledsoe was 105th (23:35.70).

Eighth-grader Ella Griffin was 111th (23:49.70) and freshman teammate Abby Tolbert was 112th (23: 56.10). Sophomore Adrienne Merideth wrapped up Heritage’s runners, coming in 150th (25:43.10).
