
Gallatin senior Dezmond Chambers is greeted by classmate Jordan Mason after his 78-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Chambers and Mason combined to account for all seven Green Wave touchdowns in Friday’s 49-20 victory over Hendersonville.
GALLATIN Jordan Mason set Gallatin’s all-time rushing record with a 14-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter as Gallatin (6-2, 4-1 6-5A) pulled away from Hendersonville (5-3, 3-3).
Mason rushed for 200 yards on 40 carries with four touchdowns. Mason also had a touchdown reception.
The Commandos pulled within eight points late in the third quarter, but stalled twice inside the Green Wave 5-yard line in the first half.
Anthony Hughes and Luke Carver scored touchdowns for the Commandos.
Beech 28, Station Camp 7
GALLATIN Beech intercepted Station Camp quarterback Tyler Thompson three times in the as the Buccaneers picked up a 28-6 victory at Station Camp.
Austin Vanzant and Chaz Williamson scored touchdowns in the first half, and Logan Fetzer returned an interception for a touchdown for Beech (6-2, 4-1 in District 6-5A).
Beech head coach Anthony Crabtree earned his 100th career win with the result.
Station Camp (3-5, 2-4) scored a late touchdown on a 22-yard pass from Tyler Thompson to Jett Frost.
White House Heritage 34, Westmoreland 13
WESTMORELAND White House Heritage’s Nick Desmarais had three touchdown receptions and recovered a punt he blocked in the end zone for another touchdown to boost the Patriots (4-4) past host Westmoreland (3-4) 34-13 in a non-region game on Friday evening.
